Hot Lap Order

We will be changing the hot lap procedures for the 2010 season for the Dirt series.

• 1. All kart will be required to pack the track
  2. One round of hot laps run in race order.
  3. If the track does not run in during hot laps it will be the Race Director
     option to run a second round of hot laps.
  4. We will use this procedure both Saturday and Sunday.

  Safety:

  1. Helmets: recommended Snell 2005 SA 2005 M, 2005 K, Snell 2000 N, Snell 2000 SA, SFI 31.2a, SFI 41.2a 31.1/2005 41.1/2005 or newer standards of the same type. (See section 105.1.6.1)
  2. Youth Helmet: for youth under the attained age of 12 must meet one of the above or the SFI 24.1 or 24.1 2005 standard for youth helmets. (See section 105.1.6.1.1)
  3. Face shield - All helmets must provide full face coverage with integral face shield/visor. (Sunglasses or goggles not acceptable). (See section 105.1.6.1.2)
  4. Helmet must be properly secured and in good condition. Must be secure with manufacturer’s strap. Any addition of material for aerodynamics or other is prohibited unless certified by Snell or SFI. (See section 105.1.6.1.3 and 105.1.6.1.4)
  5. Gloves: Required in all divisions. (See section 105.16.2)
  6. Clothing: All drivers in open karts shall wear jackets of heavyweight leather, vinyl material or approved heavyweight abrasion resistant nylon material and full-length pants to prevent/minimize abrasions or a driving suit of 1 or 2 pieces constructed of heavyweight leather, vinyl material or approved heavyweight abrasion resistant nylon material. No Nomex only or Proban materials. (See section 105.1.6.3.1)
     No holes allows in pants or other protective clothing
  7. Footwear: socks and high top shoes are REQUIRED. Shoes shall cover the ankle bone and be laced or buckled securely as designed. (See section 105.1.6.3.3)
  8. Neck Collar: ALL drivers in ALL divisions must wear an un altered collar type neck brace designed for motor sports. This is required when on the track. (See section 105.1.6.3.5)
  9. Chest Protector: All drivers in ALL Kid Kart, Junior 1 and Rookie classes must wear a chest protector. Chest protector must be 20.1 SFI certified. This is a pretech item. (See section 105.1.6.3.6)
  10. Long hair: Long hair is a safety tech item. Competitors with long hair will have to demonstrate a safety method of retaining their hair. Simply tucking into helmet or driving suit is NOT acceptable. (See section 105.1.6.3.4)
      
      Safety Items:

  The following must be in the trailer or pit area:

  1. 1. Fire Extinguisher - 1.5 lb min dry powder - rated A, B, & C fires.
     CARBON DIOXIDE TYPE NOT APPROVED.
  2. First Aide Kit: bandages, Aspirin, burn medicine, bug bite treatment and bug spray
